Si certains n\u2019ont presque pas chang\u00e9 malgr\u00e9 les d\u00e9cennies, d\u2019autres n\u2019h\u00e9sitent pas \u00e0 r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement remettre tout <strong>leur concept \u00e0 plat. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est exactement ce qu\u2019a fait Pepsi, une marque de soda qui a toujours cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 devancer la concurrence, jusque dans sa pr\u00e9sentation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Un pari de logo audacieux\u2026 d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part<\/h2>\n<p>En 1893, un pharmacien d\u00e9cide de lancer sa propre boisson gazeuse. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, ces boissons \u00e9taient en effet vendues dans leurs officines, et \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es comme bonnes pour la sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19579\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19579\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19579\" src=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/07\/1-Bass.jpg\" alt=\"logo Pepsi ancien old\" width=\"500\" height=\"260\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19579\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credits: Anheuser-Busch<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>C\u2019est ainsi que Caleb Bradham commercialise sa Brad\u2019s Drink. Quand on regarde aujourd\u2019hui le logo de ces ann\u00e9es-l\u00e0, il est facile de le qualifier de vintage.<\/p>\n<p>Ce que l\u2019on remarque surtout, connaissant le d\u00e9veloppement de la marque, c\u2019est sa teinte bleue\u2026 Une couleur qui fera int\u00e9gralement partie de l\u2019identit\u00e9 de Pepsi au fil des ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Ce n\u2019est pourtant que cinq ann\u00e9es plus tard, en 1898, que Brad\u2019s Drink devient Pepsi-Cola. Pour la petite histoire, son nom est d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de dyspepsie, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire indigestion. Le message est clair\u00a0: <strong>le Pepsi-Cola facilite la digestion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19578\" src=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/07\/logo-pepsi-old.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sentation de son logo, par contre, est peut-\u00eatre un peu moins claire.\u00a0\u00c9crit avec des ronces et des piques, il alterne des lettres presque agressives, qui coulent vers le bas, et des accroches plus courbes.<\/p>\n<p>Le A final qui s\u2019enroule apporte une douceur qui n\u2019est pas vraiment int\u00e9gr\u00e9e dans le reste du logo.\u00a0Le choix est audacieux. Il conserve sa<a href=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/logo-rouge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> couleur rouge<\/a> (oui, la deuxi\u00e8me teinte embl\u00e9matique de la marque), mais s\u2019arrondit. Cette fois, les lettres sont plus \u00e9paisses, il est bien pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une boisson\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>L\u2019ensemble se veut plus dynamique, plus moderne, plus imposant aussi. Il y a un v\u00e9ritable travail sur la forme des lettres, qui retrouve un peu du piquant du logo initial. Apr\u00e8s tout, les bulles piquent bien un petit peu, non\u00a0?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>En 1940, le logo du d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle est revu une derni\u00e8re fois. Les graphistes repartent vers plus d\u2019\u00e9pur\u00e9. Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019anciennet\u00e9 de ce logo, la typographie retenue pour Pepsi s\u2019apparente de mani\u00e8re \u00e9vidente avec celle qui sera ensuite l\u2019identit\u00e9 de la marque pour un autre long moment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00c0 lire aussi&nbsp;: <a href=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/success-story-lhistoire-du-logo-gucci\">Success Story&nbsp;: l\u2019histoire du logo Gucci<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tourner en rond\u2026 ou pas<\/h2>\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, ces premiers logos \u00e9voquaient sans doute un peu trop ceux d\u2019une marque bien concurrente de sodas. Il fallait se d\u00e9marquer\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Et c\u2019est ce que fit Pepsi-Cola d\u00e8s 1950, en int\u00e9grant son logo dans la capsule d\u2019une bouteille. On y retrouve le rouge embl\u00e9matique de la marque, mais aussi le<a href=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/logo-bleu%e2%80%89\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> bleu du d\u00e9but,<\/a> quoi qu\u2019un peu plus clair.<\/p>\n<p>Ces teintes ne sont pas choisies innocemment\u00a0: elles \u00e9voquent aussi celles du drapeau am\u00e9ricain. C\u2019est aussi l\u2019\u00e9poque o\u00f9 le substantif \u00ab\u00a0cola\u00a0\u00bb dispara\u00eet du logo. Et la typographie est \u00e9galement remise \u00e0 plat.<\/p>\n<p>On oublie les <a href=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/choisir-typographie-serif-sans-serif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">empattements<\/a>, les courbes\u2026 Le choix effectu\u00e9 est tr\u00e8s moderne pour l\u2019\u00e9poque, voire os\u00e9. Le logo est singuli\u00e8rement \u00e9pur\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>En 1991, le cercle et le nom de la marque se s\u00e9parent\u2026 Mais ils gardent de bonnes relations. Afin de donner du relief et du contour \u00e0 son nom, il l\u2019\u00e9crit dor\u00e9navant en blanc sur fond bleu.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19585\" src=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/07\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-10-at-11.23.04-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"930\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tout est compos\u00e9, avec un d\u00e9grad\u00e9 de couleurs en arri\u00e8re-plan, pour que le logo ressorte du fond et s\u2019impose.\u00a0Cet effet est encore accentu\u00e9 en 2003, avec un contouring plus prononc\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Et pour jouer encore plus sur l\u2019effet \u00ab\u00a0sorti du papier\u00a0\u00bb, la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre boule ronde se pare de gouttes de condensation en 2006.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19580\" src=\"https:\/\/graphiste.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/07\/logo-pepsi-bouteille-cannette.jpg\" alt=\"logo pepsi\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En 2008, on assiste \u00e0 une toute nouvelle version du logo. On garde le cercle, les trois couleurs et le nom\u2026 mais tout est modifi\u00e9, avec des courbes plus modernes, un logo sans majuscules, plus a\u00e9rien.<\/p>\n<p>Un choix os\u00e9, encore une fois, et qui n\u2019a pas toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 d\u2019ailleurs, certains le trouvant trop pr\u00e9tentieux. C\u2019est pourtant encore la version en cours en 2020, ce qui prouve qu\u2019elle a su s\u2019imposer dans l\u2019esprit des gens\u2026 Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la prochaine mouture.<\/p>\n<p>Au fil des ans, Pepsi a ainsi multipli\u00e9 les changements. Parfois \u00e0 des dates tr\u00e8s rapproch\u00e9es. Un choix strat\u00e9gique qui se justifie par le positionnement de la marque.<\/p>\n<p>Pepsi se veut en effet jeune et moderne.
